How do i change spark plugs?

do they just unscrew and place in new ones or is it a job for the garage.How do i change spark plugs?Buy a new good quality set of plugs for the make,model and engine size of your car and the air gap between contacts are usually pre-set.

Remove each spark plug lead one at a time(so you don't get mixed up) and using a spark plug removal tool(they come in 2 sizes so make sure you have the correct size for the plugs),unscrew the old plug from the engine and replace with a new one(don't overtighten).

Replace the spark plug lead with a new one if it appears to be split,damaged or badly corroded(the electrical spark will try to run to earth rather than down into the spark plug).How do i change spark plugs?If you need to ask, then leave it to a garage. Make sure to use anti-seize compound on the threads of the new plugs. You'll be sorry later if you dont. Use a good wire-type gapper to set the spark gap. Just because they were pre-gapped at the factory doesn't mean they weren't banged around before you got them.
