You need to ask the so called engineers at toyota that, dont blame the mechanic that the book time is 3 hours. It isn't hard, but does add some time. The front plugs are easy to reach and replace. The rear plugs are significantly harder, especially without the right tools and experience. I was under the impression the average dealer charge was actually closer to 2 hours, unless you are having something else done.



These vehicles are designed by engineers not mechanics. I remember a sports car some years back, with a V-8 that required lifting the engine to change the rear plugs.
