Is there an easy way to change spark plugs on a 98 chevy malibu?

way I heard it yo uhave to loosen the engine mounts and rotate the engine FWD to get to the rear ones. my wife has a 00 3.1L and I have never lost a battle of changing plugs untill I ran in to this one. I didnt feel liek doing that to the engine but a chevy mechanic told me this is the way its done and lots of other people have said the same thing.
